That apparently I used for some pics when I was building my Mustang... So now you get a photo dump.

Looks great. Love the color. What did you do to it? I'm assuming that list is really long....

Yea... Basically took it down to a shell (except the interior) and made everything how I wanted it... Engine was upgraded with new heads, cams, fuel system, manifold, Tb, etc, suspension was all redone with tubular adjustable stuff, new springs, struts, etc, etc. etc.

They were so much fun. I would get so many people pulling up next to me in charges / challengers / camaros / civics / whatever and reving becasue they thought it was a V6, like "ha ha, silly V6 Mustang" (Blacked out GT badges, GT wing delete, billet grill removed the oem GT fogs). Press the button, Rev, smile and laugh at the other cars driver shitting his pants.

Wow. That's a lot. How long did it take you to get all of that done?

I maintain that the 3v 4.6 was the greatest sounding v8 ever produced. Period bar none. With dumps installed it sounds even better. Wish my 5.0L sounded this sweet.

It did sound sweet but just had trouble making the power I wanted.

lol. Aside from dropping the heads off at the machine shop for porting, the engine took me one whole weekend to build. Most of my time was spent cleaning and repainting things...

That's not bad at all. I wish I had all the right tools take apart most of an engine. Any idea how much power you put down?

Just under 420 to the wheels.

That would surprise stock coyotes very easily! Must have been fun to drive.

It was fun if you had a wide open road in front of you. Anything else was tedious. 4.10 gears and a big lopey cam made for a not so pleasant traffic time.

I could see how that isn't fun in traffic. Then again nothing is fun in traffic...

The 3v needs cubic dollars to make it run. If you want to build a N/A monster, its not the right engine. If you want to play with boost. Then its another game. The stock rotating assembly is the weak point after 420whp or so. However if had bought one of the b302 short blocks from brenspeed, you could have hellcat power to the wheels. I remember the b1000 going for about 4200bux. Not bad for a short block rated for about 1000HP. The stock heads become a restriction around 750whp or so. Also misconceptions aside, the 3v is a revver. I had mine set to 7K with no issues.

Yea after my build we were able to squeeze 7,900 rpm out of it, we tuned it down to 7,200 for longevity and safety, but it could get up there.

How much power did you make? Another thing about modulars, they do love boost. I see from the photos that there is no boost on that one. I want to build a mild 3v someday to stuff in a early 80's jag.

Just under 420 to the wheels. No boost, I had just gotten over a long term relationship with a very finicky twin turbo V6 in a 3000GT VR-4 that blew itself up a few times and decided I wanted to build this one out as N/A

I understand. That is a good number on the 3v n/a. Mind me asking why you sold it? I know difficult to get power. But it certainly was not a car to kick out of bed.... Especially since the work put in reduces the value of the car.

Long story short, moved across the country, couldn't get it legally registered, was killing my pocket dding an F350 and the killing me letting the stang sit so I sold them both.
